Protostop is a new accident prevention safety device to be applied to self-locking barriers such as overhead doors, sectional main gates, motorized shutters and similar systems.

Protostop is made of two aluminium surfaces hinged one to the other, which trigger a microswitch when stressed by any sort of external pressure.

Protostop is easily secured to the edge of an automatic self-locking barrier, and allows to stop the movement of the mechanism, and/or to reverse the direction of the movement. It is applied to the edge of any closing system with self-threading or pressure screws. The electric system wires are connected to the drive circuit by using the PVC side duct.

The Protostop device can be installed on the perimeter of an automatic closing system with a 90° connection, using the appropriate corner kit (right or left option), to grant the mechanical and electrical action on the corner edge. The device is completed with a finishing cap (right or left option) and the seal provided in the kit that permits the connection of one or more bars.

Water-proof microswitch technology

- Stainless steel springs;
- Low voltage watertight microswitches (protection rating IP67, contact points 1mA5V DC/6A 250V AC., working temperature from -40° C to +105° C);
- Closure caps, corner kit, junction kit in PA 6 20/F.V..
- Lengths: 120 cm (1 microswitch) and 180 cm (2 microswitches) (they can shortened up on both sides).
- Certified CE (DM 98/37/CE - EMC 89/336 CEE - BT.73/23 CEE).
In order to respect the latest European safety standards (EN 12978), the Protostop device is equipped with a watertight sensor continuous self-testing technology, evolving in the Stop Control version.
